My friend Nellie O’ Apple at FansOnTheRun sent this video link to a John Mayer interview at the Grammy rehearsals.

Mayer really touches on a couple of key topics that strike a familiar chord with me…

  • When he works with other artists, he doesn’t overshadow their songs.  (He checks his ego at the door.  How many artists do that?)
  • There’s a lot more losers than winners at the Grammys.  (1 winner out of 4 nominations plus 50 years in how many catagories?)
  • He’s blessed because he can express his emotions in his music.  (We should all be so lucky!)
