Ringo Starr starts off the new year with a new single called “Liverpool 8″ from his new album, which is due to be released this week.

Ringo and his band just recently performed the new single at the opening of the city of Liverpool’s celebration as European Capital of Culture.  Fellow Beatle Paul McCartney will join in the festivities this summer when he and his band performs in a series of live concerts taking place in the continuing celebration in Liverpool.
