Wow, I can’t believe it’s already December.  Just a few days ago we were passing out Halloween candy and yesterday was Thanksgiving.  Christmas is just around the corner and now the “panic buzz” starts to set in about sending Christmas cards and what presents to buy for whom.

Santa Claus must lose his freakin’ mind every year about this time, huh?  Just like before you go on a big trip, you’re running around the night before all crazed with a bizarre mix of adrenaline fueled excitment with a touch of the dreaded “what-if’s.”  Now that’s the stuff that will drive you insane, so cut it out!

Make your list(s), check ‘em twice (spell check or whatever) and get online to check the specials.  The malls look too dangerous nowadays, so I’m shopping on the web and UPS can do all the walking.  Heck, you can even get stores like amazon.com to gift wrap and drop-ship your presents to all the lucky ones you’ve decided are worthy this year.

Don’t forget to stop and smell the roses every once in awhile; (meaning take a break from shopping and have a hot coffee or cocoa.)  We all deserve to pamper ourselves now and then, especially during the brutal retail season.

Be sure to watch for all the Holiday Gift Giving Guides.  Everybody has ‘em this year, so it should be pretty easy to find the right gift for each one of your little elves, plus a little something for ourselves too.

Save your receipts; even the best gift idea sometimes goes astray, or they already got a copy of the same CD or DVD you just paid for.  You can use every little bit to make up for those great after holiday specials the weekend after Christmas.
