The Eagles are releasing their first studio album of new material since 1979, “Long Road Out of Eden.” Whoa, 28 years man. I think that beats the record previously held by Steely Dan, who took almost that many years to come back with a new album after Gaucho.
It seemed kind of odd to me that the Eagles struck an exclusive distribution deal with Wal-Mart. It’s not like they need the exposure of a new artist; and the average Wal-Mart customer probably can’t afford to buy tickets to their overpriced concerts.
But I’ve always been an Eagles fan, so I’ll be buying my copy of the double CD pretty
soon. It’s pretty exciting to get some new material from these guys, especially since they’ve called it quits so often before.
