Blabbermouth.net has an interesting post about Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward, who dedicated part of his weekly radio show in memory of 9/11 and our soldiers and public servants who serve our country every day.

BLACK SABBATH drummer Bill Ward will dedicate the last half hour of his “Rock 50″ radio show on Saturday, September 8 to songs “dedicated to 9/11 and for the guys out there in harm’s way every day,” Ward writes on his web site. “Bands we’ll be playing: SLIPKNOT, AS I LAY DYING, WAR OF AGES, CARNAL FORGE, NILE, CONVERGE, DEATH BREATH and many more. Bands being played in the 9/11 dedication: MINISTRY, DEFTONES, SLAYER and ANTHRAX.”

“Rock 50″ with Mike Stark — a music show, a talk show, a circus and a therapy session stirred into a mix of music that celebrates the 50-year history of rock music. Included in the festivities are monthly visits from Bill Ward and L.A. musician Tee-m with their favorite tunes and point of view.

“Rock 50″ airs “live” every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) on WPMD.org.
