Beatle songs are the most popular cover tunes, as performed by other artists.  And this is not the first time a film has used covers of Beatles songs.  I think the versions I heard on the “Sam I Am” soundtrack album were better, but there’s a couple of tracks on this Across the Universe soundtrack that sound pretty good.
