Sixties rock icons Grace Slick, Michelle Phillips and Eric Burdon turned Hollywood into ‘Hippiewood’ when they recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of the Monterey Pop Festival. The stars turned out for a special Monterey Pop Festival movie screening, held as part of the Mods + Rockers Film Festival at the Egyptian Theatre. Slick, Phillips and Burdon were joined by the members of bands who performed at Monterey, including Buffalo Springfield, Canned Heat and Moby Grape.
